About Our Church
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” 2 Peter 1:3 (NIV)
Our Mission & Vision
Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith
‘Our vision is to be a growing, spirit-filled, welcoming church, that is vibrant and relevant to our local community, reaching out to it in the love of Jesus through a network of small groups.’
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they only constitute the Divine rule of Christian faith and practice.
We believe that there is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things, and who is the only proper object of religious worship.
We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead – the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.
We believe that in the person of Jesus Christ the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man.
We believe that our first parents were created in a state of innocency, but by their disobedience they lost their purity and happiness, and that in consequence of their fall all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly exposed to the wrath of God.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has by His suffering and death made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever will may be saved.
We believe that repentance towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit, are necessary to salvation.
We believe that we are justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and that he that believe that the witness in himself.
We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.
We believe that it is the privilege of all believers to be wholly sanctified, and that their whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the immortality of the soul; in the resurrection of the body; in the general judgment at the end of the world; in the eternal happiness of the righteous; and in the endless punishment of the wicked.
Our Beliefs & Values
Our identity and God-given mission as disciples of Jesus Christ are shaped by the values of the Kingdom of God. We love God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind, and we love our neighbour as Ourselves.
We have Integrity in everything we do, being reliable, trustworthy, transparent and honest in our personal and business relationships.
We are Accountable to God in every area of our lives and to others in all our dealings.
We have Compassion for all people.
We are Passionate about unconditionally demonstrating God’s love to everyone.
We have Respect for people and planet, seeing the God-given potential in every person and being stewards of the environment.
We are Bold in proclaiming the gospel in everything that we do and in fighting for social justice.
“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
– John 3:16
Who We Are
Our Leadership Team
The Pastoral Care Council supports the corps leaders and is made up of members of the corps who are tasked to care for the general wellbeing of the people associated with the church (membership). It serves to promote its mission and vision and has the responsibility to accept new members, to advise on the appointment of leaders and to take a pastoral interest in the extended membership of the corps. This group meet three times each year.

Our Community Team
We are a community of believers, committed to Jesus Christ, accepting that God, the Holy Spirit dwells with us and within us.
We are a congregation who gather in the name of Jesus and believe that he is present among us.
We have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and found forgiveness and healing at the foot of the cross. This has transformed us and opened our eyes to the needs of people around us.
With God’s help, we endeavour to minister to these needs. We experience God’s presence with us and we are further changed into His likeness, as we continue our spiritual journey.
We are members of the worldwide Salvation Army; some of us are officers, some are soldiers and yet others are adherent members. But membership is not essential to attend Sunday meetings and to participate in many other aspects of church life.
Many, but not all, wear The Salvation Army uniform or insignia as a means of witness and indicating availability in the service of Christ.
We are a Salvation Army corps, with appointed leaders and a supportive leadership team.
Together they undertake a range of responsibilities, including administrative tasks which enable the good function of Rushden Salvation Army.
